An authentic rural dinner in the countryside of Bergamo

Just a few minutes from the walls of Bergamo Alta, beyond the ancient stones and panoramic terraces, the landscape opens into fields of lavender and helichrysum. It is here that Paola cultivates her land.

Paola is a young farmer who has chosen to give new shape to Bergamo’s agriculture, combining tradition and a contemporary vision. In her fields, crops are grown, harvested, and distilled. The lavender is carefully processed, the honey follows the rhythm of the blooms, and the fruit ripens in the sun. Nothing is staged: everything comes from real, everyday work.

The Cestino Contadino among the Medicinal Herbs is an invitation to experience the countryside as Bergamo families once did: outdoors, at sunset, sharing what the land offers at that precise moment of the year.

After arriving at the farm, you will be accompanied to your dedicated space among the crops. Here you will find a simple yet carefully arranged setting, immersed in the scent of lavender, the color of helichrysum, and the silence of nature. The basket offers a selection of Paola’s seasonal products and those of other local farms, designed to be savored slowly, without haste. A suspended moment in which time seems to expand and the evening light makes everything more intense.

For many international guests, this becomes one of the most authentic memories of their stay: a direct connection with the agricultural soul of Northern Italy, one that still exists—discreet, yet profoundly alive.

• Gourmet farmer’s basket with a selection of seasonal products from Paola contadina and neighboring farms that share the same philosophy: specialties prepared with ingredients grown in the surrounding fields, authentic flavors that tell the story of the current season.
• A private setup among rows of lavender and helichrysum, with a dedicated corner immersed in nature, far from noise and distractions.

A niche experience to fully connect with the centuries-old winemaking history of the Invernici family and the oenological treasures of the Bergamo hills, part of the City of Wine.

We aim to offer an intimate experience, centered on sharing, where attention to detail and craftsmanship are the key elements. An experience we recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about a true family-run winery, to anyone wishing to taste artisanal wines, and to those who are not satisfied with simply drinking a good glass of wine but are curious to discover the background, philosophy, and thoughts of the producer.

The entire experience is personally guided and hosted by the Invernici family, in particular by Sara, representing the fifth generation.

Program:
• Welcome in the historic 1990s winery, with a visit and storytelling.
• Aperitif in the cellar with the first tasting of table wine drawn directly from the tank, reconnecting with the long-standing tradition of bulk wine sales that has always characterized the Bergamo hills.
• Light walk through the hillside vineyards, with explanations and discussion about working choices, insight into the grapevine plant, and views over the landscape of Grumello del Monte.
• Visit to the newly built winery.
• Arrival in the tasting room for a tasting of 5 labels (2 white wines and 2 red wines, including the top-selling reserve from the 2016 vintage).
• Guided tasting with a cheese pairing featuring premium buffalo-milk cheeses from Bergamo, buffalo and pork cured meats, and other local delicacies, all sourced locally (km0).
• During the tasting, educational sensory games are offered to help recognize wine aromas in the glass.
• At the end of the tasting, a symbolic discount is provided for the purchase of the bottles most appreciated.
